Using Vendor Master

The process of using Vendor Master to publish your invoice data involves a number of key steps. These steps will take you from inital setup through to ongoing maintenance and monitoring.

Install Vendor Master Interface

To install Yendo you will first need to download and install the appropriate data interface. The data interface will manage the exporting of invoice data from your accounting systems.

 

The interfaces are only availabe to approved Vendor Master customers and Yendo can assist with their configuration if required.

Set-Up Access

With the interface fully configured, you must then configure customer access through the Vendor Master site.

 

This configuration allows you to control which suppliers have access to invoicing information online.

Transfer Data

The data transfer is now scheduled to occur periodically (generally nightly). The transfer itself is a secure FTP (SFTP) of an XML or comma/pipe delimited file. The file itself can be optionally encrypted using the AES algorithm.

Publish

With all the website content in place you now need to publish your invoicing data to the outside world.

 

The data can be configured to be accessible to authenticated users through the use of 'profiles' allowing you to dictate precisely how much data to display to vendors based on their vendor group.

Get Reports

Provision of metrics and reporting to assist with performance measurement and identify process bottlenecks.

 

The reports available on the Vendor Master site typically tell you what traffic your data is receiving and where this traffic is coming from .
